Two unexpected looks from Zendaya at the 2024 Met Gala add drama.

Zendaya returned to the Met Gala tonight as a first-time co-chair after five years.

To honour this year's dress code, “The Garden of Time,” the singer and her longtime stylist and close colleague, Law Roach, created two timeless Met Gala costumes.

A 1999 Dior dress inspired the Challengers star's amazing Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, which turned her into a fairy-tale villain.

The one-shouldered gown has a long trumpet skirt with royal-blue and emerald-green diagonal stripes and fruitlike waist decorations.

She added a net netting and tulle fascinator.

Zendaya stunned fans by returning to the steps at the end of the night in a 1996 Givenchy black gown.

A corseted lace-up bodice with long, puffy off-the-shoulder sleeves and a structured peplum hemline and a huge skirt that nearly covered the Met's stairway were included.

She completed the look with a 2006 Philip Treacy Alexander McQueen bouquet-themed black tulle fascinator.
