Simple Sautéed Broccoli with Garlic

Ingredients: – 1 head of broccoli, cut into floret – 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced – 2 tablespoons olive oil – Salt and pepper, to taste – Optional: red pepper flakes for a hint of spice

Start by preparing the broccoli. Wash the broccoli thoroughly under cold running water, then trim off any tough stems and separate the head into bite-sized florets.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic to the pan.

Sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until it becomes fragrant and just begins to turn golden brown. Be careful not to let the garlic burn, as it can become bitter if overcooked.

Add the broccoli florets to the pan, spreading them out into a single layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste, along with a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired for a bit of heat

Cook the broccoli for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is bright green and tender-crisp. Be careful not to overcook the broccoli, as it should still retain some texture and bite.

Once the broccoli is cooked to your liking, remove the pan from the heat and transfer the sautéed broccoli to a serving dish.

Serve the sautéed broccoli with garlic as a delicious side dish alongside your favorite main course. It pairs well with grilled chicken, roasted salmon, or even as part of a vegetarian stir-fry.

Enjoy your simple and flavorful sautéed broccoli with garlic!
