Seelbach Cocktail

It starts with Louisville-made bourbon whisky, then adds bitters, Champagne and a crisp twist of orange to finish.

Ingredients: 1 oz. (2 Tbsp.) Kentucky bourbon (such as Old Forester), 1/2 oz. (1 Tbsp.) orange liqueur (such as triple sec or Cointreau)

7 dashes Angostura bitters, 7 dashes Peychaud's bitters, 5 oz. (approximately 2/3 cup) chilled sparkling wine, and an orange twist for garnish.

Add the liquors and bitters to the cocktail shaker. Fill a shaker or mixing glass with ice, then combine the bourbon, orange liqueur, and bitters.

Shake and mix until cool.

Strain into a champagne flute or coupe glass.

Combine Champagne and curled orange peel. Top with sparkling wine.

Cut a long twist of orange peel, coil it, and arrange it on the lip of the glass, half within and half hanging off.
