'Promiseland' docuseries gives refreshing look at Ja Morant's rise from overlooked talent to NBA star

After defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the play-in round to secure the last postseason bid for the Western Conference,

the Memphis Grizzlies were named the eighth seed in this year's NBA Playoffs. Because of that, more people were able to see Ja Morant, a promising young player for the Grizzlies, play on television.

The top-seeded Utah Jazz were stunned in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series by Memphis

but the Shock lost the series in five games. On the other hand, Promiseland,

a six-part documentary series on Crackle, gives fans a chance to follow the high-flying guard off the court. Episodes 4–6 making up Part 2 of the series were released on June 17th.

Each episode clocks in at under thirty minutes, so there's no need to worry about people who find the term "six-part docuseries" off-putting.

Promiseland lasts for a total of two hours and twenty-five minutes. You can watch it in parts or all at once; either way,

you'll be captivated by the narrative of how Morant rose to the NBA thanks to his incredible talent and the incredible family and community that supported him.
