NFL world reacts to Joe Burrow announcement

Joe Burrow failed to recover from a calf injury and had a sluggish start to the 2023 NFL season with the Cincinnati Bengals.

But he appears to be back to full health, which led to him receiving an NFL distinction this week.

The NFL awarded Joe Burrow the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after an extremely outstanding effort against the San Francisco 49ers this week.

"On Sunday, Burrow was back to his usual brilliant form as the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 31-17."

Burrow was on point all day, completing 87.5% of his passes and missing only four of his 32 attempts.

"He threw for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions on the day, while also gaining 43 yards on the ground," Gordon wrote for NFL.com when the league announced the honor.

It's a well-deserved distinction for the quarterback, who appears to be returning to MVP form, and the NFL world reacted strongly to the announcement on social media.

Burrow will aim to keep his excellent play going this week when the Bengals host the Buffalo Bills in a primetime game on Sunday night.
