Ezekiel Elliott shows off $50,000 timeless golden Rolex Day-Date 40

Ezekiel Elliott has signed a one-year agreement with the Dallas Cowboys, who drafted him fourth overall in 2016.

ESPN sources say the contract maxes out at $3 million.

Elliott and his agent, Rocky Arceneaux, visited with the Cowboys before last week's selection and ended up at Dee Lincoln Prime, where the club was having its scouts dinner.

"Well, Zeke, as we all know, is one of our favourites," Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said Thursday. "He risked everything for this franchise. He's the greatest rival. We think a lot of him."

After losing leading rusher Tony Pollard to the Titans in free agency, the Cowboys are considering a running back committee. Dallas re-signed Rico Dowdle and signed Royce Freeman in free agency.

Last year's sixth-round pick Deuce Vaughn, Malik Davis, and Hunter Luepke are also Cowboys.

Elliott's return recalls Herschel Walker's second Cowboys stint. After leading the Cowboys in rushing from 1986 to 1989, Walker was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, helping Jimmy Johnson lead Dallas to three Super Bowl titles in the 1990s

As the Cowboys' lead kickoff returner in 1996, he played behind Emmitt Smith.
