Dak’s contract negotiations are holding the Cowboys hostage

Forbes Magazine recently rated the Dallas Cowboys at a staggering $9.0 billion, making them the most valuable sports team in the world.

Nearly $2 million later on the list, the second-place squad appears. You might have heard of the New York Yankees.

As the world's most valuable sports club, the Cowboys are constantly in the spotlight, and even the slightest piece of information is magnified nine billion times.

The Star's lights are always on, and one of them has been glowing in the window for months.

That light represents a prayer candle for star quarterback Dak Prescott and his contract issue. Prayer candles are well-known in my Hispanic community.

Don't you believe me? Check out this masterpiece produced by a Cowboys fan hoping to make it to the Super Bowl.

Saint Dak Prescott is the real deal. A savior sent from the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft to comfort Cowboys supporters in the wake of the loss of fan hero Tony Romo.

I know there are two sides to any discussion, and none of us are in the room to know which half of the talks has come to a halt.

To my inexperienced eye, there are no compelling reasons to put off contract discussions while time passes and the contract becomes more expensive.
