Britney Spears Net Worth: Fortune Of Gimme More Singer Explored As She & Former Husband Sam Asghari Reach Divorce Settlement

Interest in Britney Spears' net worth has recently grown, with stories claiming that the Gimme More singer is wasting her riches on expensive vacations. The singer's divorce deal with former husband Sam Asghari has sparked fans' interest in Britney Spears' supposedly shrinking income.

According to PEOPLE, the former couple followed the terms of their prenuptial agreement and divorced peacefully, despite reports Britney Spears was paying Asghari's rent. A source has subsequently rejected the story, telling the newspaper, "She is not on any lease for him."

The source also stated that recent allegations of Britney Spears draining all of her money were inaccurate, saying, "The report that she is in financial distress is false."

The denial comes as Pagesix reports that the hitmaker was burning through her multi-million dollar fortune less than three years after the court dissolved her conservatorship in November 2021.

However, according to the most recent reports from a source close to Britney Spears disputing the charges, the pop singer's riches remains intact. This is how much she is worth today.

According to projections, Britney Spears' net worth in 2024 will be between $60 million and $70 million. The estimates were derived from a Forbes study that placed her 2024 net worth at $60 million, and Celebrity Net Worth, which said Britney Spears' net worth was even greater at $70 million.

Britney Spears rose to fame in 1998 with her debut single, "Baby One More Time," at the age of 16. She created notable singles including "Toxic" and "Oops!… I Did It Again."

Everything changed for the Grammy-winning singer in 2007 when she was taken to a drug rehabilitation centre for problematic behaviour, including shaving her head with electric clippers.

In February 2008, Britney Spears' conservatorship was established to preserve her estate and children's financial future amidst her increasingly unstable behaviour.

According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, her net worth in 2018 was $59,079,755.76, while she was still under conservatorship.

Spears' net worth at the time was projected to be lower than that of some of her pop music colleagues, like Rihanna, who was said to be worth $600 million. Rihanna is now a billionaire.

According to Forbes, Britney earned $30 million in 2018 from album sales and her Las Vegas show, "Britney: Piece of Me." She also had a successful perfume collection, including Fantasy and Curious, which reportedly grossed $30 million in 2013.

Forbes said in 2017 that the struggling singer made more than $103 million from fewer than 250 gigs. Page Six stated in 2022, citing anonymous sources, that her memoir deal with Simon & Schuster was worth $15 million. According to TMZ, Spears receives 25% of the memoir's net profits.
